OUR STORY
WE ARE ADOPTING FROM CHINA!!!
We are the Wiens family! We love adventure, laughing, and being together.
Our goal, as a family, is to live the life God has called us to live. Right now, God has called us to add more joy and dimension to our lives through the miracle of adoption. We are excited to announce that we will be adopting from China!
And, we are not just praying for one child, but possibly for two!!!!
With that being said, we are asking for your support in this adventure.
First, we ask that you keep us and the journey we are about to embark on, in your prayers. We ask that you pray for our future child. That they will have the protection of God over their lives and their minds. That they will have the power of forgiveness. We ask that you pray for our children at home with us now. That they will have peace and grace during this process. We ask that you pray for our paperwork; that it will go smoothly and swiftly.
Second, we are asking for your financial support. Adoption is quite expensive and we are committing to not create any new debt as we go through the process. During this campaign, we are hoping to raise the initial adoption fee that is $7000. We know that is a big number, but we are also confident that God will provide!

JOURNEY
It is 12 – 14 month process from application
to picking up our child in China.
HOMESTUDY & DOSSIER
Currently, we are in the "mound of paperwork" stage. Meaning, we are getting all necessary paperwork in order to meet the requirements for the Chinese special needs program. These are boys and girls with special needs ranging from mild or correctable to more significant needs.
Although this is a very tedious and exauhsting part of adopting, we are thankful there is so much protection that goes into the adoption process.
The special needs program is in classic Chinese style a very organized and ethical adoption program. Our agencies will lead us through the process step by step.
After we have completed all of our paperwork, we will be matched with the perfect child/ren God has specifically for our family. We will also be able to complete our i800 that will allow us to bring our child/ren home. This will be the last document that is needed before traveling to China.
Once we have all our ducks in a row, we will wait for the travel approval and be on our way to China. We will be in country for around 2 weeks and then be home with our new additions.
After being home, we plan on cocooning once again, like we did when Moses came home. We felt this extremely benefited our family. We hope you all understand our reasoning for doing this. ;)
